Hello and welcome, I'm Yolanda, although my friends call me Yogalanda
I’m a student and practitioner of Yoga, Tantra and Sanskrit. I’ve studied in yoga studios and ashrams, sitting by dhunis and on pilgrimages, as well as in tertiary academic institutions.
I’m committed to balancing practice and traditional learning on the ground in India, with the discipline of academic studies.
I share the wisdom of Yoga, Tantra and Sanskrit with those who feel called to transform their lives for the better. To live consciously is to live without resistance, without friction, without suffering. The more consciously you live, the more joy, freedom, love and peace will unfold through you.
I acknowledge and honour the ancient knowledge and traditional wisdom of the Sanatan Dharma from the Indian Subcontinent, and pay my deepest respects to its original source and the culture from it was borne, in humble service.
May all beings everywhere be happy and free, and may my thoughts, words, and actions contribute in some way to happiness and freedom for all 🙏
ॐ भूर भुवः स्वः
भर्गो देवस्यधीमहि |
धियो यो नः प्रचोदयात् ॥
oṃ bhūr bhuvaḥ svaḥ
bhargo devasyadhīmahi |
dhiyo yo naḥ pracodayāt ||
‘O thou existence Absolute, Creator of the three dimensions, we contemplate upon thy divine light. May He stimulate our intellect and bestow upon us true knowledge.’
‘O Divine mother, our hearts are filled with darkness. Please make this darkness distant from us and promote illumination within us.’
To live a fully conscious life is to live in harmony with nature, with your true Self
To live consciously, it is essential to understand how consciousness flows through existence and to cultivate this state of flow in your own life
‘oṃ pūrṇamadaḥ purṇamidaṃ pūrṇāt pūrṇamudacyate
pūrṇasya pūrṇamādāya pūrṇam evāvaśișyate |
oṃ śāntiḥ, śāntiḥ, śāntiḥ’ ||
‘This whole existence arises from that which is whole,
and if the whole be removed from the whole, yet the whole remains.’
Yoga, Tantra and Sanskrit are tools for transformation that enable you to live consciously
You’re already perfect, just as you are, the only thing needed is to remove everything that stands in the way of your realisation of this
स एव विश्वमेषितं ज्ञातुं कर्तुं चोन्मुखो भवन् ।

‘He (śiva), Himself full of joy enhanced by the honey of the three corners of his heart;
icchā or will, jñāna or knowledge, kriyā or action,
raising up His face to gaze (at his own splendour) is called śakti.’
